A performance solution, also known as an alternative solution, is a design solution that achieves above or equivalent performance requirements specified under the Australian National Construction Code (NCC). The performance based solution is to allow a degree of flexibility to the architects, developers and construction managers to meet their code requirements in a design perspective whilst fulfilling their commitments to adhere to the minimal legislative provisions stipulated under Commonwealth and Federal legislation specific to the construction industry.
