What is the Specialist Disability Accommodation and Design Standards?
Specialist Disability Accommodation helps people with a disability to obtain independence whilst receiving the care they need. Purpose-built housing delivers customised design that supports the individual’s requirements. If housing is one of the support requirements listed on an NDIS plan, the recipient is entitled for funding to modify or purpose build their accommodation to suit their special needs.
